Our Mission
 

It is the mission of the Dual County Community Band to provide the opportunity for dedicated area musicians to continue their involvement in music by presenting a wide variety of music performance, appreciation and entertainment for the South Central Wisconsin area.

Band Profile

We are a non-profit instrumental band comprised of more than 40 dedicated, and talented musicians from various backgrounds. It is our pleasure to share our music with the good people of Columbia, Sauk, Marquette, Dane, Green Lake, and Adams counties here in South Central Wisconsin.

Most of our members rekindled their interest in performing with a musical group after an extended time away from playing. All levels of talent are welcomed equally. If you are interested in joining us, Click Here.

Under the direction of Mr. Chris Watters, we rehearse every Thursday evening at the Pardeeville High School in Pardeeville, Wisconsin. 

We perform concerts at Angie W. Cox Public Library in Pardeeville Wisconsin, during the summer on Thursday nights at 7:00PM. Bring your lawn chairs. You can enjoy pie and ice cream provided and sold by local community groups!

 

History of the Dual County Community Band

The Band had its beginnings in Portage in 1970.

In 1984 The Portage Community Band became part of the Continuing Education program of Madison Area Technical College/Portage branch located in Portage Wisconsin. It was at that time that the band became known as the Dual County Community Band, the name being drawn from the local sports conference of the area.

The DCCB moved back to Pardeeville Wisconsin in 1985, where it has remained to present day.

The DCCB currently has between 35-40 members under the direction of Mr. Chris Watters who is also the Montello High School director.

A special thanks to all the former directors who gave of their time, expertise, friendship, and most importantly sharing their love of music and the platform to continue to learn and play music.
